A-Z of designers who use fur
Hundreds of fashion designers use fur in their collections without giving a mere thought to the helpless animals who have to suffer for a fur trim or fur coat. These fashion houses make huge profits from their furs, whether it be a fur trim on an expensive jacket or a full fur coat selling for up to $50,000. Fur is big business and unfortunately the global demand for fur is increasing every year. This means more and more animals suffer on hellish fur farms where they face unimaginable cruelty. Approximately 40-50 million animals die per year. Many people are aware of the cruelty involved in rearing and killing an animal for it's fur yet, they choose to buy fur because it is seen as a status symbol. Many celebrities and the rich hold the view that fur makes them appear elegant and wealthy when in reality it just draws attention to their lack of morals.
